I wanted to thank all my friends and family who have forwarded chain letters to me in 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008 and continuing it in 2009 also.
Because of your kindness:
* I stopped drinking Coca Cola after I found out that it’s good for removing toilet stains.
* I stopped going to the movies for fear of sitting on a needle infected with AIDS.
* I smell like a wet dog since I stopped using deodorants because they cause cancer…
* I don’t leave my car in the parking lot or any other place and sometimes I even have to walk about 7 blocks for fear that someone will drug me with a perfume sample and try to rob me.
* I also stopped answering the phone for fear that they may ask me to dial a stupid number and then I get a phone bill with calls to Uganda, Pakistan, Singapore and Tokyo.

* I also stopped drinking anything out of a can for fear that I will get sick from the rat faeces and urine.
* When I go to parties, I don’t look at any girl, no matter how hot she is, for fear that she will take me to a hotel, drug me, then take my kidneys and leave me taking a nap in a bathtub full of ice.
* I also donated all my savings to the Amy Bruce account. A sick girl that was about to die in the hospital about 7,000 times.. (Poor girl! she’s been 7 since 1993…)
* Still open to help somebody from Bulgaria who wants to use my account to transfer his uncle’s property of $ 100 million. So much trustworthy.
* Made some Hundred wishes before forwarding those Ganesh , Tirupathi Balaji pics etc.
Now most of those ‘Wishes’ are already married (to someone else)
IMPORTANT NOTE:
If you do not send this e-mail to at least 11,246 people in the next 10 seconds, a dog will bite you today at 6:30pm.

Nothing has happened till now……..but who knows. So please forward.

I don’t know who wrote it… I am not sure it’s real story or imaginary.

But whoever wrote … Must wanted to spread Meaningful message..

Thanks a lot to many of my friends who fwd this message to others and helping our author to spread his/her message….

I was walking around in a Big Bazaar store making shopping, when I saw a Cashier talking to a boy couldn’t have been more than 5 or 6 years old. The Cashier said, ‘I’m sorry, but you don’t have enough money to buy this doll. Then the little boy turned to me and asked: ”aunty, are you sure I don’t have enough money?” I counted his cash and replied: ”You know that you don’t have enough money to buy the doll, my dear.” The little boy was still holding the doll in his hand.

Finally, I walked toward him and I asked him who he wished to give this doll to. ‘It’s the doll that my sister loved most and wanted so much. I wanted to Gift her for her BIRTHDAY. I have to give the doll to my mommy so that she can give it to my sister when she goes there.’ His eyes were so sad while saying this. ‘My Sister has gone to be with God. Daddy says that Mommy is going to see God very soon too, so I thought that she could take the doll with her to give it to my sister.”

My heart nearly stopped. The little boy looked up at me and said: ‘I told daddy to tell mommy not to go yet. I need her to wait until I come back from the mall.’ Then he showed me a very nice photo of him where he was laughing. He then told me ‘I want mommy to take my picture with her so my sister won’t forget me.’ ‘I love my mommy and I wish she doesn’t have to leave me, but daddy says that she has to go to be with my little sister.’ Then he looked again at the doll with sad eyes, very quietly.

I quickly reached for my wallet and said to the boy. ‘Suppose we check again, just in case you do have enough money for the doll?

” ‘OK’ he said, ‘I hope I do have enough.’ I added some of my money to his with out him seeing and we started to count it.

There was enough for the doll and even some spare money.

The little boy said: ‘Thank you God for giving me enough money!

‘ Then he looked at me and added, ‘I asked last night before I went to sleep for God to make sure I had enough money to buy this doll, so that mommy could give It to my sister. He heard me!” ‘I also wanted to have enough money to buy a white rose for my mommy, but I didn’t dare to ask God for too much.

But He gave me enough to buy the doll and a white rose. My mommy loves white roses.’

I finished my shopping in a totally different state from when I started.

I couldn’t get the little boy out of my mind.

Then I remembered a local news paper article two days ago, which mentioned a drunk man in a truck, who hit a car occupied by a young woman and a little girl.

The little girl died right away, and the mother was left in a critical state.

The family had to decide whether to pull the plug on the life-sustaining machine, because the young woman would not be able to recover from the coma. Was this the family of the little boy?

Two days after this encounter with the little boy, I read in the news paper that the young woman had passed away..

I couldn’t stop myself as I bought a bunch of white roses and I went to the funeral home where the body of the young woman was exposed for people to see and make last wishes before her burial. She was there, in

her coffin, holding a beautiful white rose in her hand with the photo of the little boy and the doll placed over her chest.

I left the place, teary-eyed, feeling that my life had been changed for ever.

The love that the little boy had for his mother and his sister is still, to this day, hard to imagine. And in a fraction of a second, a drunk driver had taken all this away from him.

PLEASE Don’t DRINK & DRIVE….. (If you don’t care yourself think for others)

In its attempt to save the environment and increase awareness about the crisis of global warming, the city of Mumbai will plunge into total darkness for an hour (7.30 to 8.30 pm) on December 15. Mumbai Unplug, a group started by young professionals, are lobbying hard to gain support for this cause. They have named this campaign Batti Bandh (switch off the lights).

A similar initiative took place on March 31st in Sydney, Earth Hour, when the entire city was engulfed in darkness and millions of residents switched off their lights for an hour to show their commitment to reduce global warming. Seeing the success of Earth Hour, Mumbai Unplug wanted to replicate a similar thing in Mumbai.

They have already received support from 30,000 locals including corporates, students, NGOs and Maharashtra Pollution Control Board. “All that you need to do to participate in this is to unplug all that runs on electricity for an hour, between 7.30 pm and 8.30 pm, on December 15 and get others to do the same,” said Anuradha, one of the founder members of Mumbai Unplug.

India features in the top ten countries which emit highest amount of carbon dioxide, which accounts for over 60% of green house gases released in India. Most of this comes from the energy sector burning fossil fuels such as coal, oil and natural gas.

A campaign like this is moving in the right direction. Let’s join in and contribute in our own small way to reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

Nokia’s latest innovative accessory is their new Bluetooth speaker phone that can be used in your car. The HF-300 boasts a powerful speaker and microphone and its audio quality is enhanced with Digital Signal Processing (DSP) that cancels out excess noises and echoes. The device also has an auto power off feature. That means it turns itself off after you stop talking.

“We are committed to providing convenient communications in the car – and out of it too. The beauty of the Nokia Speakerphone HF-300 is in its mobility, it goes where you go, when you want to

talk. We are excited to have the speakerphone as part of our expanding enhancements portfolio to meet the needs of our consumers,” said Wolfgang Gärtner, senior category manager, Nokia Automotive.

The device runs on battery power so it’s totally mobile and apparently offers up to 20 hours of talk time. When the battery runs low, the LED indicator provides an alert. There are also simple keys that are illuminated for taking and ending calls. The HF-300 weighs 80g. It’s equipped with a sunvisor clip for easy positioning of the device in your car and has rubberized pegs at the bottom so it can easily stay firm on your desk. The speakerphone will automatically turn off after five minutes after the connection to the mobile device has been severed.

The HF-300 is compatible with a wide range of Nokia mobile devices supporting Bluetooth Specification 1.1 and higher and Handfree Profile 1.0 and higher. It is expected to be available globally in the third quarter of 2007 and will cost an estimated Rs. 4960, excluding taxes.

Mobile phone operator O2 is reported to have won the sought-after deal to sell Apple’s iPhone in the UK.http://tbn0.google.com/images?q=tbn:A19dgtq4cc72qM:http://www.mobileafrica.net/images/apple-iphone.jpg

Press reports said that O2 is set to sign an exclusive contract shortly and should have the new phones on sale in time for Christmas.

A spokesman for O2, which is owned by Spain’s Telefonica, declined to comment on the reports.

More than 500,000 iPhones were sold in the first weekend in the US by AT&T, which has exclusive rights there.

Vodafone had previously been tipped as the likely winner of the contract.

The agreement with O2 is reported to include Apple receiving a continuing share of the revenue generated for the network operator.

The handsets are expected to be sold for about £300 and O2 will be hoping that the lure of the fashionable phone is enough to win customers from rival networks.

Get a master’s degree from a US university and you could be sitting on an immigration goldmine. http://www.indiadaily.com/images/editorial/3624_320.jpg

According to reports, a new US Senate proposal would allow limitless H1-B visas and green cards for foreigners with master’s degrees or higher in any field from an American university — or anyone with such credentials in the science, technology, engineering or math fields from abroad.

This week is immigration reform week in the US Congress, as it battles issues like border fencing and temporary worker visas. Like other competing proposals in Congress right now, the ‘Skilled Worker Immigration and Fairness Act’, introduced on Tuesday by senators Joseph Lieberman and Chuck Hagel, also proposes raising the existing annual cap on the controversial H1-B visas from 65,000 to 115,000 for fiscal year 2007.

That number could climb by 20% in each subsequent year, to as high as 180,000 if the previous year’s quota was exhausted.

Right now, there’s also a 20,000 visa cap beyond the existing H1-B quota for foreigners who have advanced degrees in the US. The new Senate Bill would remove that cap. It would also broaden the exemption from the H1-B limit beyond just those with advanced degrees to include foreigners with ‘medical specialty certification based on post-doctoral training and experience in the United States’.

A broad House of Representatives immigration Bill known as the Strive Act contains a similar approach. Commerce minister Kamal Nath has warned of dire consequences if H1-B visas are made a political issue.

But this will become more and more politicised as the US heads for presidential elections in 2008. “Outsourcing” was an issue in the 2004 elections and there is every evidence that it will be one this time as well.

According to government sources, the private sector is woefully inadequate to tackle this perception in the US, even though Nasscom has proposed a “professional visa” which has been forwarded in the CEO’s Forum between US and India.
